Right Design Studio version for BPC 10.0

Hello Experts,

I am trying to install DS first time in our landscape and goal is to build DS dashboards on top of BPC model and planning cube with data write back functionality.  we are at Netweaver 7.4 SP07, so is it DS 1.3 or DS 1.4 is the correct version because in couple of forums it is mentioned that DS 1.3 or 1.4 works only with unified version.
