So a fellow developer and myself have run into a strange issue with Design Studio. Using the Fiori template from SAP as a base we have occasionally found an "Invisible Barrier" blocking interaction with buttons. Literally not even registering the buttons as clickable. What make the situation worse is there are no other Components layered over the buttons in question.
The Barrier has definite edges which can be located by moving the mouse around until the Arrow changes into the Hand. In the picture below, on my Dashboard the barrier is over the top left of the screen, roughly the shape as indicated in "A". Moving the buttons to the right as in "B" shows the extent of the barrier and hovering the mouse over the area where it overlaps the button (Text Component) clearly has a border where it changes from the Pointer to the Hand.
Because of the location I suspected the Error / Alert box might be to blame so I disabled it completely which has resolved the issue for me, irrespective if the location was set for bottom right.
My colleague on the other hand has an invisible barrier in the middle of her dashboard that seems to automatically scale along with the window size, yet there are no components hidden over the area, or even under the area. This has been a very strange occurrence and even copying all the components one by one to a clean canvas results in the same issue.
