Question: In the variable popup of Design Studio reports, is there a way to show the manual input box below the variable name by default, so the users do not have to click on the name first? Probably by changing some css lines or some options I did not find, yet? This would be a more intuitive way for our users to fill in the data.
Background: Since introduction of Design Studio, we experience users have a hard time to adjust to the variable popup screen. Initially, only the variable descriptions and the arrow for calling the input help are displayed. If you want to enter a value manually, you have to click on the name of the variable so the input box appears below the name and you can enter the value.
This step is not very intuitive and many users do not know/find it, click instead on the variable input help (arrow symbol) and complain about design studio being more complex than the old web application input window. We try to make users available through FAQ pages and training, but this is a hard way of doing it.
Hints would be appreciated. We are using Release 1.5 (Version: 15.0.6).
