In DS 1.6 there are new components from the SAPUI5 Main Library which SAP also uses for example to create Fiori UIs. They were developed having the mobile use case in focus.
One of the options to view-open-run Fiori apps on mobile devices is by using the SAP Fiori Client.
If one would create a SAP Design Studio Application containing only components from the "m" library, would it be possible to run such an application on mobile devices by using the SAP Fiori Client (app stored on SAP Gateway, data exchanged via OData protocol)?
Can a Design Studio App which contains only "m" components be imported into SAP Web IDE and from there generate a Fiori App so that it could be then opened via SAP Fiori Client? Has anybody tried it? Even if it is not officially supported or declared to work by SAP, is it possible to make it work?
If it is not possible currently, does SAP plan to enable such a scenario?: have the choice to also use SAP Fiori Client to run Design Studio Apps instead of SAP BusinessObjects Mobile Platform/BI Mobile Client which doesn't yet officially support Windows Phone mobile devices (see PAM for SAP BO DS 1.6 pages 34-35), but SAP Fiori Client does Support Windows Phone 8.1.
Or is it enough to just use the native Browsers with HTML5 support on the mobile devices tu run a Design Studio 1.6 "m" App? Are there any known serious restrictions-limitations? In this discussion (http://scn.sap.com/thread/3805034) it seems like using the native browser works just fine.
