directly assign field to X/Y axis in chart

Hi expert,

      I am using chart, but my data source is around 30k rows, if I assign x/y field by 'data selection, it is very difficult, I am wondering if I can directly assign fields for x/y axis. as I don't see any post relevant in forum. hope I can get help here.
