Current Date with Set Personalization

Hello Experts,

I have been experimenting with the personalization features and I have found this blog very useful:

There is an item discussed mentioning:

“3. On Startup scripts and On Variable initialization do not run when personalizing an analysis application.”

If I want the user to enter the application again with their set Personalization, but I would like to display the current date using:

APPLICATION.getInfo().dateNowInternalFormat;

Is this action not available unless I make a button for example to request current?
