We currently have SAP MII (15.0 SP04) in our landscape and SAP BOBJ 4.1 sp05 along with SAP Design Studio 1.6. What is the best way to get data from SAP MII into Design Studio dashboards? Client wanted to view live data from SAP MII system on dashboard. I wanted to check if there are any best practices out there for such scenarios. I have come across a similar post which talks about doing this via HANA Smart data access(SAP MII & Design Studio). Can anyone shed light on how this works as well?
Should the SAP MII system be on HANA DB to make this scenario work? If the MII system is on HANA DB, Can we get live data from MII into HANA DB via HANA SMART data access and then create dashboards on HANA views via Design Studio? In such a scenario i would assume the right licensing needs to be in place for SAP HANA for us to be able to create views and consume them in Design Studio.
