Select hierarchy members of the same level (dynamically) and have dropdowns populated with them

Hi,

I encountered an issue trying to select all hierarchy members of the same level, having cascading dropdowns populated with them, in order to filter a data source. I would like to try this as a much more user-friendly filter experience than using a dimension filter or filter panel. The following example should clarify my problem. My data source provides some measures (columns), as well as the ship-to country dimension including its activated hierarchy (rows):

- World

     - Europe

          - Western Europe

               - Austria

               - Germany

               - France

               - ...

          - Rest

     - Americas

          - North America

               - ...

     - ...

Now, I would like to select all members of the 2nd hierarchy level (Europe, Americas, Asia, ...) and populate a dropdown with them, select all corresponding members of the 3rd level and populate another dropdown with them, etc.

Is it possible to work with hierarchies that way in realease 1.1?
