What If Analysis in Design Studio
Requirement to provide users a dashboard for data forecasting.Expectation is to have a tab where user will have option to enter values for particular factors affecting sales and on click of a calculate button, the main tab with visualization should change with updated calculated predictions for future months. It can be called as a detailed case of “what-if” analysis for “prediction dashboard”.
I am thinking to do it with SAP Design studio 1.6 leveraging the planning features. In BW I think we can have a multiprovider combining my planning cube and the actual cube. BEx query created from multiprovider will be refreshed by the latest values entered by the user via input ready query to the planning cube, calculated with the actual values in query level.
Please let me know if this idea is feasible to implement. If you feel there is any better way to achieve same result, it would be really helpful.
