We are facing a strange issue where we are not able to add the universe as data source. This is happening after we have upgraded Design Studio 1.6 SP1 to SP3.
Environment Details: BO 4.1 SP6 Patch 4 (RHEL 6.4), Design Studio 1.6 SP3 BIP Add-on, Universe (UNX) based on SQL Server 2008/2012 (JDBC)
When we try to edit the query specification we get the error message as "Failed to initialize query panel" and the detailed log says...universe (cuid) or your security profile does not allow you to access it..
The CUID mentioned is of a data security profile which is not related to this universe. This universe does not have data security profile. We are also using Admin id to access the same. Have also tried creating a small new universe, but no luck. We have also created a dedicated APS with Analysis Application Service, DSL and Adaptive Connectivity Service but issue still persist. Restarts did not help.
We have reviewed various SCN contents related to "Failed to initialize query panel" but the cause for the error as shown in the log is unique and strange.
Any thoughts on the issue?
