I'm currently working an a project where an Analysis Application (or Dashboard) will be develop using Design Studio. All source data will come via one or multiple SAP HANA views. As with probably most dashboards this project also has the requirement that SSO needs to be used between the BI 4.0 platform and the SAP HANA database. Using SSO will make sure that users that interact with the dashboard will only view data which they are allowed to see. This can be accomplished by Analytic Priviliges for instance or to include certain 'lookups' in other authorization related tables in SAP HANA.
Unfortunately the current version 1.0 SP2 only allows a connection to be established with the CMC that has a pre-defined username and password towards SAP HANA. I got a response from Tammy Powlas that also in 1.1 SSO will not be supported for SAP HANA.
Does anybody have an idea how we would be able to 'pass' the username of the current BI 4.0 users to SAP HANA (maybe as part of the query via an input parameter) so that the autorization on the data can be executed?
