Passing url parameters from Design Studio to Analysis for Office

I have a app that has been created in Design Studio 1.2 and I would like to pass the parameters to an Analysis for Office app by clicking on a button in my DS app, is this possible and how would I do it. I have passed parameters to other DS apps using the url passing function, but not sure if that would work. Any help would be awesome.
